Job summary

W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. is seeking a QC Lab Associate for our Gore Fabrics Quality Testing Lab in Elkton, MD, on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Sun-Fri). You will perform routine QC testing for product release and support engineering teams in a high-volume environment.

You will operate a range of instrumentation, collect data, report results, and maintain safety practices. The role includes a shift differential and a competitive total rewards package with benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science or engineering or 2+ years QC testing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow detailed written procedures.
• Good communication, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Organize and perform routine testing of QC samples and non-production (R&D support) samples using various instrumentation.
• Perform data collection and data entry.
• Communicate results, issues, and trends.
• Operate and maintain QC Lab instrumentation.
• Provide testing support for internal customers with characterization and/or validation projects.
• Adhere to safety and environmental practices.
