Job summary

Actalent in Edgerton, WI seeks a QC Chemist for the night shift (10:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) to perform analytical testing on liquid products using GC and other wet chemistry techniques, support production filling, and document results.

The role requires 1–2+ years GC/LC experience, an associate or bachelor’s in Chemistry, and strong teamwork to collaborate with quality and production teams. This is an onsite position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred.
• 1–2+ years of GC or LC experience in any industry.
• Hands-on GC testing experience is essential for success.
• Experience with HPLC, GC, pH, FTIR, titrations, solids, and viscosity testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized lab testing using GC, HPLC, pH, FTIR, solids, viscosity, color and odor assessments.
• Test liquids for aerosol products and assist with production line sampling.
• Prepare samples and follow established lab methods and quality procedures.
• Record data accurately in notebooks and electronic systems.
• Maintain clean, safe lab, follow safety and quality standards.
• Communicate results with quality and production teams and assist in troubleshooting.
