Job summary

The GCT Quality Control lab at Elk Mills 1 in Elkton, Maryland, is seeking a QC lab associate to perform routine testing for product release and process monitoring in a high-throughput environment. This hands-on role requires quick turnaround times, instrument troubleshooting, and collaboration with product development and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in science, engineering, or related field with at least 3 years of lab experience.
• Ability to follow detailed written procedures.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong math skills for laboratory work.
• Ability to learn and understand a variety of tests and instrumentation.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and ability to follow established safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Routinely run QC sample analysis such as tensile & compression testing, rheology, viscosity, thermal analysis, chemical extractions, and titrations
• Perform data collection and data entry following documented procedures
• Perform instrument calibrations and partner with quality associates and engineers to carry out relevant corrective actions
• Troubleshoot problems and perform routine maintenance on lab instrumentation
• Partner with internal customers on characterization and/or validation projects
• Support testing needs within the regional GCT QC Labs, as needed
