Job summary

The Krusteaz Company in Effingham, IL is seeking a Third Shift Quality Technician to join the QA team. You will address routine quality issues, test raw materials, finished goods, and production lines to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.

You will perform audits, document results, manage records, and support continuous improvement while adhering to GMP, HACCP, and BRC-related practices. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently on the night

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Two years’ experience in quality control or food processing preferred.
• Strong math, reading, sensory, technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Must communicate in English with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Pulls and tests samples for performance to quality standards using sensory/analytical tools.
• Performs tests on and samples raw materials for production use.
• Maintains storage and organization of samples and controls.
• Audits production lines for packaging, labeling, weights, and codes.
• Records observations and test results; files production documents.
• Uses QA equipment and follows lab testing procedures.
