Job summary

The Krusteaz Company in Effingham is seeking a Third Shift Production Operator to support packaging dry food products, operate packaging equipment, and maintain safety and quality standards on a rotating shift. Responsibilities include data entry, lifting up to 60 pounds, forklift use, and sanitation tasks.

Ideal candidates will have sunset experience in food processing, proficiency with MS Word/Excel, and the ability to work overtime and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to interact with computerized information systems.
• Uses data management and problem-solving methods in decision making.
• Knowledge of Process Quality, Compliance Quality and Food Safety Programs and HSE.

Responsibilities

• Implement data collection methods to ensure Process Quality results are accurate.
• Report production information related to inventory, KPI, SPC, Run Strategy and other data.
• Ensure work meets Quality and Food Safety standards and procedures.
• Take preventive action to protect product from contamination.
• Manage bag dump/processing to produce finished product.
• Conduct quality checks on ingredients used in production.
• Provide training on new methods and changes.
• Participate in preventive maintenance system.
• Operate packaging equipment and process control systems.
• Perform regular sanitation tasks.
• Assist with rail car/bulk unloading tasks.
• Coordinate with the previous shift for continuity.
