Job summary

The Krusteaz Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Effingham, IL facility on the 3rd shift. The role requires electrical, mechanical, and PLC aptitude with responsibilities spanning from preventive maintenance to troubleshooting and downtime reduction.

You will read blueprints, fabricate metal, and perform plumbing, pneumatic and millwright tasks, while ensuring safety and reliability of production equipment in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Exposure to PLC, SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net preferred.
• Exposure to AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support production by bringing equipment to base condition through maintenance functions.
• Interpret blueprints, fabricate metal, perform plumbing, pneumatic and millwright tasks.
• Collaborate with production staff to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot, operate maintenance software and devices, and complete paperwork.
