Job summary

Bento Inc. is seeking an Overnight Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor in Fullerton, CA to uphold high standards of production quality and sanitation.

The role leads HACCP programs, mentors QA staff, and coordinates audits to ensure regulatory compliance across the plant. The ideal candidate has a college diploma in Food Science with GFSI familiarity, PCQI certification, and proven leadership in a food processing setting.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Food Science or related field.
• GFSI experience; SQF asset; PCQI certification.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Auditing experience preferred.
• Leadership experience in a food processing facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent quality of production and plant sanitation by developing and enforcing above-standard manufacturing practices.
• Lead HACCP program and prerequisite programs, keep up-to-date and fully implemented in production.
• Coach and develop QA technicians; identify training needs and manage performance.
• Provide leadership during audits and assist as directed by QA Manager.
• Maintain records of finished product specs, SOPs, SSOPs, QA forms, etc.
• Create training materials to support GMP/HACCP/Sanitation programs and train staff.
• Investigate plant issues, implement corrective actions and preventive measures for customer/supplier complaints.
• Collaborate with Plant Operations to drive quality improvements and cost savings.
• Support third-party and internal audits; oversee audits as needed.
• Manage 2 QA Technicians and propose team development plans.
• Oversee sanitation via environmental swabbing and coordinate with Sanitation team.
• Review testing results for raw materials and finished products.
