Endeavor Health seeks a Public Safety Officer for Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time night role (6pm–6am) involves unarmed patrols, incident reporting, crowd control and parking enforcement to safeguard patients, staff and property.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year in a customer-focused service setting. Preferred are security experience, healthcare exposure, and CPI/IAHSS certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused service-based organization.

Responsabilités

• Patrols assigned areas of facilities and grounds on foot or in a motorized vehicle according to schedule and investigates unusual occurrences.
• Reports incidents or apparent loss of hospital property and involves police when necessary.
• Responds to service calls in a timely, safe, professional manner.
• Welcomes patients and visitors, provides directions, and escorts as needed.
• Directs vehicle traffic around hospital facilities and issues parking citations as required.
• Physically restrains unruly individuals and assists police when needed; provides court testimony when required.
• Checks doors/windows, inspects equipment, notifies personnel of problems.
• Investigates and documents thefts, accidents and incidents with evidence collection and reporting.
