Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is seeking a PRN Certified Nurse Aide for the Post-Surgical Unit, nights 7:00pm-7:00am, to support RNs and care for patients in a high‑acuity orthopedic setting. A CNA license and current CPR are required; strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CNA license required; current CPR required.
1-year acute care hospital experience preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.
Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages.
Performs clinical duties under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients with mobility.
Cleans rooms as needed.
Assists RNs as instructed.
Other duties as instructed by supervisor.
