Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Post Surgical Unit to support patient care after surgery.

The RN will deliver postoperative nursing care, manage pain, promote safe ambulation, and collaborate with surgeons and post-acute staff to ensure a smooth discharge.

Requires Texas RN license, current BCLS/ACLS; PALS recommended; minimum 2 years hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU experience; orthopedic nursing preferred; night shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BCLS, ACLS current; PALS recommended.
• Minimum 2 years clinical RN experience in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU.
• Strong ER experience preferred.
• 1 year orthopedic nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide all nursing care for post‑surgical patients to standard of care.
• Ensure high quality, safe patient care and compliance with standards.
• Care for patients aged 2 years to geriatric and coordinate with care teams.
