Job summary

Ray Stone Incorporated is seeking a Night Porter for Hilltop Commons Senior Living in Grass Valley, CA. The role is full-time, with a Sunday through Thursday overnight schedule from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, and includes a benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or pendant system.
• Main point of contact for all after-hours phone calls.
• Ensure building grounds are clean and well maintained including sidewalks, entrances, and patio furniture.
• Dust, vacuum, and maintain general cleanliness of common areas (kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, game room).
• Take all trash and recycle to the appropriate bins or dumpsters.
• Ensure security of the building by performing periodic walk-throughs and checking entry ways.
• Read the logbook each shift and report any issues.

Hilltop Commons Senior Living is looking for a Night Porter to join our team. This position is full time and benefit eligible. Scheduled hours are Sunday through Thursday 11:30 PM to 8 AM (overnight).

Job Summary

The Night Porter works closely with the Community Administrator and on‑site team to ensure the community is clean, well‑kept, and in accordance with Ray Stone Inc. standards. The Porter is responsible for keeping the building secure and is the first point of contact for all emergencies.

Job Duties

• Respond to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or through pendant system depending on assigned community.
• Main point of contact for all after‑hours phone calls.
• Ensure that the building grounds are clean and well maintained, including cleaning and upkeep of sidewalk areas, outside entrances, and patio furniture.
• Dust, vacuum, and maintain general cleanliness of common areas including the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, and game room.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and use hands to handle or lift objects. The employee occasionally must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Additionally, the employee must crouch, kneel, or climb stairs. Most work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
