Leisure Manor Senior Living is seeking a dependable Night Porter for weekend evenings 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM, part-time. You will monitor the property, maintain cleanliness, and support residents and staff while ensuring security and a welcoming atmosphere during overnight hours.

The role requires reliability, attentiveness, and the ability to work independently, with responsibilities including emergency response, building cleanliness, and serving as the main after-hours contact.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a janitorial or housekeeping position.
• Experience with Seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls and serves as main after-hours contact.
• Ensures building grounds are clean and well maintained, including sidewalks and entrances.
• Cleans and maintains common areas such as kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise room, library and game room.
• Takes out trash and recyclables to bins or dumpsters.
• Checks that entry ways are secure and performs periodic walk-throughs for safety.
• Reads and records shift logbook to communicate issues accurately.

Leisure Manor Senior Living is seeking a dependable and attentive Night Porter to join our team!

This is a part-time opportunity for every Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM.

Job Summary:

Working closely with the Community Administrator and on-site team, the Night Porter helps maintain a clean, secure, and well-kept community in accordance with Ray Stone Inc. standards. This role is responsible for monitoring the property during overnight hours, ensuring building security, and serving as the primary point of contact in emergency situations.

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, and committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for our residents, guests, and staff.

Job Duties:

• Responds to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or through pendant system depending on assigned community.
• Main point of contact for all after hours phone calls.
• Ensures that the building ground are clean and well maintained. Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of sidewalk areas, outside entrances and patio furniture.
• Responsible for the dusting, vacuuming and general cleanliness of common areas in the community; including the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, and game room.
• Takes all trash and recycle to the appropriate bins or dumpsters.
• Ensures the security of the building by performing periodic walk-throughs, checking that all entry ways are secure.
• Reports in and reads the logbook each shift to ensure accurate communication and documentation of any issues.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; and use hands to handle/lift objects. The employee occasionally must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds. Additionally, the employee, on occasion, must crouch, kneel, or climb stairs. Most work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Must have the ability to walk short distances.
