Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Sleep Diagnostics seeks a polysomnography professional to calibrate and adjust sleep monitoring equipment, following written protocols to assure accuracy of test results and integrity of the system. You will demonstrate ability to properly apply polysomnography equipment to the patient according to published standards for optimal recording.

Assesses patient during sleep studies to determine if CPAP/BIPAP/VPAP or oxygen is necessary, performs PAP mask fitting, and prepares

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 1 year of direct patient care experience or 2 years of post-secondary education required.
• Registered Polysomnographer (RPsgt) required upon hire or credentialed RRT with certification within 18 months.
• Minimum of 6 months as a Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Proficient with Alice V acquisition system preferred.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and work independently.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates and adjusts sleep monitoring equipment per protocols to ensure accuracy.
• Assesses patient during sleep studies to determine need for CPAP/BIPAP/VPAP and oxygen.
• Performs PAP mask fitting and records information for physician use.
• Prepares face sheet report by interviewing patient and reviewing history.
