Southeast Health is seeking a phlebotomy technician to perform phlebotomy and accessioning across hospital and outpatient settings. You will identify patients, label specimens correctly, and help train new staff under supervision.

The role includes night shifts, with a 0.7 FTE commitment, requiring adherence to safety and departmental policies while ensuring timely specimen processing and patient care.

Qualificações

• Phlebotomy and accessioning duties in hospital laboratory, outpatient and off-site services.
• Identify patients and correctly label specimen tubes.
• Under supervision train new employees and student interns in phlebotomy duties.

Responsabilidades

• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, fingerstick, heelstick) per procedure.
• Determines priority of STAT draws and ensures timely specimen transport to the lab.
• Uses computers to complete assigned tasks and maintain workload records.
• Promotes safe practices and follows department policies and safety protocols.
• Greet patients as receptionist in outpatient lab when needed and maintain departmental organization.
