UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL invites a motivated phlebotomy professional to join our team on nights as a PRN supervisor. The role focuses on oversight of phlebotomy clerical operations, staff training, scheduling coordination, and ensuring timely specimen collection and delivery across units.

Responsibilities include auditing safety and processes, resolving issues via phone/email, and maintaining a compliant, patient-centered laboratory environment.

Formación

• High school graduate.
• Minimum 6 months of laboratory experience (clinical or hospital) required.
• Phlebotomy training program (240 hours) preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Trains and evaluates new staff and students from area phlebotomy programs.
• Performs clerical duties.
• Oversees personnel assigned to phlebotomy section and ensures coverage.
• Obtains and processes blood specimens from various age groups.
• Directs staff and manages draws across towers and units.
• Handles phlebotomy issues via phone, PSR, and email; escalates to supervisor as needed.
• Maintains safe, clean work areas and adheres to policies.
