Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist for night shifts to support our hospital laboratory operations in Naples, FL.

The role includes phlebotomy, specimen processing, QC/QA tasks, and coordination with healthcare teams to ensure accurate labeling and timely testing. Responsibilities cover maintaining LIS/EMR data, inventory, safety protocols, and routine testing support across ages.

Qualifications

• Completion of a laboratory assistant training or phlebotomy program or training course required.
• 1–2 years of experience as a phlebotomist may be considered in lieu of program completion.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years experience in a laboratory, healthcare, or clinical setting required.
• 1–2 years experience with specimen processing, laboratory equipment, and QA procedures required.

Responsabilités

• Assists laboratory staff in performing routine tests following proper protocols.
• Prepares and processes specimens, ensuring proper labeling and transport.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment as needed.
• Performs finger sticks, venipunctures, and heel sticks on patients of all ages.
• Adheres to safety, HIPAA, and lab compliance standards.
