Qualifikationen

• Completion of a laboratory assistant training or phlebotomy program or training course required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory, healthcare, or clinical setting preferred.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.

Aufgaben

• Assists with routine tests following proper laboratory protocols.
• Prepares and processes specimens with correct labeling and transport.
• Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions, assists with troubleshooting.
• Performs finger sticks, venipunctures and heel sticks per policy.
• Ensures safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance in all tasks.
• Logs procedures and specimen data into LIS with accuracy.
• Stocks supplies and maintains a clean, organized lab area.
• Participates in data collection and quality improvement activities.
• collaborates with healthcare staff to ensure efficient workflow.
