Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our Cabarrus location, working 3rd shift (9pm–7:30am) with every-other weekend. This role supports licensed pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, labeling, and handling per USP standards. Requires High School diploma and certification within 18 months of start.

No per diem; 40 hours weekly, full-time. Inpatient setting with opportunities to participate in quality improvements, inventory control, and customer-facing duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain CPhT or ExCPT certification within 18 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen and route phone calls using proper etiquette.
• Complete documentation for removal, stocking, and wasting controlled substances.
