Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Atrium Health Pineville Pharmacy Department in Charlotte, NC. The role covers dispensing, entry of orders, and customer communication, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The position requires High School graduation, a Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility, and preps for certification (PTCB/ExCPT). Shift is 7p–7a, 40 hours weekly, in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Develops competence in preparing non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal recommendations.
• Develops competence in entering medication orders in the computer system and/or processing medication requests via the computer system.
• Develops competence in managing phone calls from customers and team members such as nurses, physicians or patients.
• Develops competence in pharmacy procedures and documentation as required.
• Complies with legal, regulatory, accreditation standards.
