Job summary

UNC Health’s Rex IP Pharmacy in Raleigh seeks a Pharmacy Technician to lead technician training, identify process improvements and support the pharmacist by reviewing, compounding and dispensing medications under supervision. The role includes intravenous admixture training, automated dispensing cabinets, operating room replenishment and receiving.

The schedule is a 2100-0700 night shift, 40 hours per week, onsite. NC license required with CPhT or ExCPT, and at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
• Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead expert training of new employees and develop training materials.
• Execute process improvement projects and implement solutions.
• Assist pharmacist with daily workflow prioritization and scheduling.
