Job summary

Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Pharmacist for a full-time night shift. You will join an interdisciplinary team to optimize drug therapy, review orders, educate staff and patients, and ensure accurate handling of controlled substances.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in pharmacy and NM licensure. One to two years of pharmacist experience is preferred, with rotating weekends and 34+ hours weekly. Comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy and NM pharmacist license upon hire.
• One to two years as a licensed pharmacist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, patients and students.
• Documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy prior to entry and after filling by technicians.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and software.
• Issues controlled substances accurately and resolves discrepancies as required by law.
