Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico, part of Ernest Health, is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team in Las Cruces, NM. This full-time role supports inpatient medication management and patient care within a collaborative hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds a current Pharmacist license, hospital experience preferred, and demonstrates strong leadership, clinical operations knowledge, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Pharmacist is required.
• Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacist regulations and standards of practice.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints.
• Monitors drug therapies and suggests alternatives as appropriate.
• Collaborates with physicians on financial risk management related to prescribing.
• Integrates the hospital’s mission and guiding principles into daily practice.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Current license as a Registered Pharmacist required

Responsibilities

Conducts drug utilization reviews and prepares drug review criteria for medical staff approval. Monitors drug therapies as assigned by medical staff and suggests alternatives as appropriate. Consults with physician and physician groups concerning financial risk management related to prescribing. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
