Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a night-shift, full-time Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. You will provide pharmaceutical care, oversee technicians, and support cost-effective drug therapies in a high-acuity hospital setting.

Eligible candidates hold a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, active state pharmacist license, BLS, and ALS/ACLS. Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and relocation assistance are available to eligible hires.

Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ALS/ACLS certification (ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Responsibilities

• The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, an IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ALS/ACLS certification ( ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
