Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a night-shift Clinical Pharmacist for a full-time position. The role involves drug dispensing, IV admixture, and providing drug information under supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations Manager.

Requirements include a B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school, an active pharmacist license in good standing, and BLS; ALS/ACLS certification is required for Code Blue coverage. Relocation and sign-on bonus may apply.

Responsibilities

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, an IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements - i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ALS/ACLS certification ( ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
