Job summary

Lovelace Health System, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM seeks a night shift, full-time clinical pharmacist to join our hospital-based pharmacy team.

The role focuses on optimizing patient care, drug information, IV admixture, and supervision of technicians, under leadership of the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Sterile compounding and other state requirements as applicable.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• ALS/ACLS certification for attending Code Blue.

Responsibilities

• The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing and an IV admixture program.
• Will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff under the Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements - i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ALS/ACLS certification (ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
