Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's is recruiting a Patient Care Pharmacist for overnight coverage in the emergency department and hospital-wide emergency response, with duties in inpatient pharmacy operations and clinical workflows.

The role offers a fast-paced environment, development opportunities, and potential precepting of trainees. Ideal candidates may have a PGY1 or 3+ years hospital experience; licensure in Ohio is required and a positive, team-focused mindset is essential for this shift-based work

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in Ohio.
• PGY1 residency or three years of institutional pharmacy experience preferred.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates preparation, distribution and dispensing of medications per regulations and policies; directs staff.
• Maintains compliance and records for regulatory readiness and accountability for all drugs.
• Manages pharmacy inventory and processes non-formulary requests.
• Interprets, evaluates and verifies all medication orders.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to optimize cost-effective drug therapy; adjusts dosing and monitors for interactions.
