Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Beaumont, TX seeks an experienced Perinatal RN to provide skilled nursing care in a high-acuity obstetric setting. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using the nursing process for assigned patients, and delegate appropriately to team members.

The role requires a BSN preferred, 1 year in perinatal nursing, current RN license in Texas, BLS, and relevant certifications (AWHONN FHM or NRP/ACLS).

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Current RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families within scope of practice.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educates patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
