Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX seeks a qualified Perinatal RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in a high-acuity setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process, while supporting families through complex needs.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, an active RN license (TX or compact), BLS, STABLE, NRP, and ACLS; one year of related experience is preferred. The role operates 7PM–7AM in a full-time on-site capacity.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 1 year of related nursing experience preferred
• Current STABLE certification
• Current NRP certification
• Current ACLS certification preferred
• RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation.
