Job summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, CA seeks a Perinatal Nurse to deliver direct patient care across antepartum, labor and delivery, recovery, and postpartum mothers and newborns. The LDRP/Perinatal Nurse collaborates with families and healthcare teams to provide family-centered care.

The role requires a CA RN license, CPR, ACLS within 30 days of hire, NRP within 30 days, and fetal heart monitoring proficiency.

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license is required.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• NRP within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring experience preferred for experienced L&D RNs or intro for those without experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive nursing assessment per guidelines to care for mothers and newborns.
• Develops and updates a plan of care based on assessments and needs.
• Implements care using department standards and nursing processes.
• Evaluates interventions and adjusts as needed to meet outcomes.
• Documents care accurately and timely; maintains clear communication with team.
