Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a registered nurse for an 8-bed pediatric unit on the night shift. You will collaborate with physicians, residents, respiratory therapists and social workers to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a close-knit environment.

Current Iowa RN licensure is required; BSN is preferred. The role involves 7pm–7:30am shifts with every 3rd weekend and every other holiday, supporting growth and teamwork in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Iowa is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Pediatric or acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient needs and responses to nursing interventions with the multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and implement patient care plans including discharge planning.
• Guide and direct care activities for LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Educate patients and families to meet learning needs and improve outcomes.
• Communicate patient changes to colleagues and other caregivers.
