MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Night Shift in our 8-bed general pediatric unit. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including pediatricians, family medicine providers, and therapists.

The position requires Iowa RN licensure and prefers a BSN, with prior pediatric or acute care experience. The RN will float between Birth Center and Pediatrics as needed and participate in ongoing

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Previous experience in pediatric care and / or acute care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assesses and plans patient care with the multidisciplinary team, including discharge planning.
• Guides and directs patient care activities for the pediatric population.
• Provides daily direction to Licensed Practical Nurse and Nurse Assistant.
• Facilitates learning opportunities to meet patient/family education needs.
• Communicates changes to patient condition with colleagues and caregivers.
• Attends department meetings and contributes to education opportunities.
• Maintains resources and supports staffing needs across units as needed.
