Job summary

Banner Health seeks a General PCU Registered Nurse for the Phoenix area. The RN will care for patients recovering from surgery, with stable cardiac conditions, respiratory needs, or post-ICU transitions, on a full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) with weekend and holiday rotations.

Night differential is 18% and weekend differential is $3/hour. Leads a collaborative, teaching-oriented team supporting nursing excellence and advancement through the Nursing Clinical Ladder.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice (or compact license).
• BLS certification is required.
• Banner Registry and Travel roles require minimum one year of acute care experience in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan individualized care.
• Implement care plans and coordinate with the healthcare team.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and outcomes in the medical record.
• Monitor and respond to patient changes and communicate with physicians.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning as appropriate.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed staff as needed.
