Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Med Surg Renal Tele unit on a full-time night schedule (7pm-7am, every 3rd weekend).

In this role you will assist with basic patient care, monitor vital signs, help with feeding and personal needs, and document care; collaborate with nurses and ER staff to support patient safety. Preferred nursing aide training (STNA/CNA) and BLS; EPIC EHR training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of nursing aide training program or STNA/CNA with OH LTC eligibility.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; must obtain before direct patient care.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, hygiene, mobility.
• Monitors vital signs and reports changes to the nurse.
• Delivers high-quality customer service to patients and families.
• Documents care accurately in the EPIC EHR system.
• Assists with patient transfers using safe techniques.
• Participates in shift hand-offs and cares for patient dignity.
