Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Coronary Care Unit (3B) at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. The full-time night shift runs 7pm to 7am, focusing on basic patient care and room sanitation under RN guidance.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient mobility, and accurate documentation; previous acute care experience is preferred, with BLS certification encouraged. EPIC EHR training is a plus.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Recent experience in acute care or related setting preferred.
• BLS certification preferred on hire; must obtain before direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including hygiene, vital signs, and mobility.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in hand-offs and reports of patient and department needs.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Mobilize patients using safe transfer techniques.
• Encourage patients to perform tasks independently when possible.
• Tailor care to individual patient interests and needs.
