Job summary

Avera Dells Area Health Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine patient care during the night shift. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient needs, and support nursing staff to maintain high-quality care.

The role requires CNA certification or active equivalent and a High School diploma or GED. Shift is 12 hours (6pm–6:30am) with every third weekend/holiday on-call, with competitive pay and full benefits availability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, direct patient care including ambulation, hygiene, feeding, and positioning.
• Responds to patient call lights and assists with needs promptly.
• Greets visitors and assists with messages, gifts, and mail.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and chart preparation as directed.
• Maintains patient rooms and coordinates with departments for appointments.
