Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Hospital is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under the supervision of registered nurses. The role includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, and maintaining a safe, clean environment on a rotating day/night shift that includes weekends and holidays.

Qualified candidates must have CNA certification and be able to work the specified hours. High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA license active in the state of practice within 180 days.
• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to patients with activities of daily living.
• Performs routine nursing assistant duties under RN supervision and contributes to the patient’s plan of care.
• Performs basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting findings.
• Maintains clean and organized patient areas and supports with restocking supplies.
• Provides emotional and spiritual support to families and assists with clerical tasks related to admissions and transfers.
