Job summary

Indiana University Health, Inc. seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCA) for a full-time night position. The PCA assists with activities of daily living, mobility, and safe patient care under the supervision of an RN, including monitoring vital signs and reporting changes promptly.

The role emphasizes compassionate bedside care, adherence to infection control, and ability to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.
• Ability to perform activities of daily living and mobility assistance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Ability to maintain concentration under stress and manage interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living and mobility assistance.
• Support bedside RN and monitor vital signs; report abnormalities promptly.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, and linens; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient surroundings and uphold infection control standards.
