Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician for a full-time night position. The PCA assists with basic patient care, including meals, mobility assistance, bathing, and linen changes, while supporting the bedside RN with vital signs and safety protocols.

Candidates should have current BLS certification or complete the IU Health PCA education program, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualificações

• Current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or completion of the IU Health PCA education program.
• Knowledge of care appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage high workload with limited time and maintain safety.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to RN.
• Assist patients with meals, beverages, and ordering.
• Encourage walking and participate in activities to promote mobility.
• Assist with bathing, linens, and gown changes while maintaining hygiene.
