Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Christiansburg, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant to join the night shift in a fast-paced unit. You will perform basic nursing tasks, assist with activities of daily living, and support patient flow while maintaining safety and dignity for patients of all ages.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior patient care experience preferred, CNA preferred (or required if in a critical access facility), and BLS-HCP within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous direct patient care experience preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; if in a critical access facility, CNA required.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care including vitals and activities of daily living.
• Assist with patient transports,床 supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Document observations in the EMR and report to licensed staff.
• Support unit operations and patient flow using department software and intranet.
