Job summary

Antech Diagnostics in Oak Brook, IL, seeks a Parasitology Laboratory Aide to assist with fecal sample collection, processing and preparation. This temporary role lasts 3–6 months, with weekend coverage and a night shift (11pm–7:30am). The position emphasizes adherence to SOPs and quality procedures.

You will support lab efficiency, maintain equipment, and participate in team-driven QA initiatives. A high school diploma is required, and strong attention to detail with the ability to work

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in English for data entry and team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Collect fecal specimens, scan into loads, and prepare for set up.
• Meet minimum loads, and set-up rates.
• Accurately build loads and label processing tubes.
• Split specimens for Giardia ELISA when required.
• Find missing specimens and reconcile queue lists.
• Maintain organization of storage fridge and all equipment.
