Job summary

Sysco's FreshPoint Connecticut location is seeking an Outbound Supervisor to manage the night warehouse shift. You will ensure efficient shift operations, supervise dock personnel, enforce SOPs, train crew members, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year operations/warehouse experience in shipping and receiving perishable products.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and train hourly employees.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily processes on the dock and in coolers.
• Review, coach, and develop the outbound associates.
• Monitor work, adherence to policy and safety requirements.
• Issue discipline when necessary.
• Interpret company policies, enforce safety and security regulations, and hold daily pre-shift meetings.
• Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepare work schedules.
• Communicate with sales, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Spot check orders for accuracy and quality.
• Pull critical care orders or double-check them for quality and accuracy.
• Inspect material handling equipment daily for safe operations and coordinate required repairs with the maintenance department.
