Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Branch Manager in Star, MS to lead distribution operations, safety, training, and personnel. You will supervise yard expediters, drivers and administration, drive efficient processes and maintain customer satisfaction while promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equal experience with formal technical training considered in conjunction with extensive, relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years Management experience in transportation, logistics, operations, or industrial.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Knowledge of use of computerized management systems.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Understand financial reports, budgetary methods, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise facility operations, maintenance vendors, and transportation schedules to ensure equipment is maintained and customer requirements are met.
• Advance effective distribution processes and maintain accurate data entry related to product sales, purchasing, and raw materials.
• Interface with regional sales and customers to foster high customer satisfaction and manage special projects.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and clean working environment while complying with safety and environmental regulations.
• Recruit, hire, train, and guide team members according to Corporate guidelines, fulfilling all record-keeping requirements including performance evaluations and safety documentation.
• Manage Branch operations to ensure budgetary goals are met or advanced.
• Ensure QC standards via SOP testing methods.
• Partner with Production to streamline floor operations, communicate order status and safety metrics, and prevent backlogs.
• Support workforce planning, track on-site assets, and verify QA during loading/offloading.
• Identify safety hazards and coordinate corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
