The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the Lebanon VA Medical Center in the Geriatrics and Extended Care Services unit is seeking a Nursing Assistant. The role includes glucose monitoring, direct patient care, and supporting treatment plans under supervision.

Work schedule is 11:00 PM–7:00 AM with every other weekend and holidays. Qualified candidates may have six months of general experience or education in health-related fields, with opportunities for advancement within the GS-3 to GS-5

Qualifications

• General experience or education requirement for Nursing Assistant position.
• KSAs demonstrating patient-care abilities, observation, and communication.
• Professional standards for safety and infection control.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care under supervision.
• Monitor glucose readings and document observations.
• Assist with nursing procedures and activities per care plan.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report changes to RN.
• Serve as mentor/preceptor to other NAs where applicable.
