Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking Nursing Assistants for the Geriatrics and Extended Care unit at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. Shifts may include evenings and/or days with rotation including weekends and holidays. Shifts will be decided and considered based on patient and facility needs.

Qualifications

• Six months of general experience or related education/training.
• Experience demonstrating ability to perform nursing assistant duties.
• KSAs demonstrating patient care, observation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and support the nurse care plan.
• Observe residents and report changes promptly to supervisors.
• Document care, observations and responses in appropriate forms.
• Assist with basic nursing procedures and use equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe and therapeutic environment for residents.
• Assist with activities and group programs under supervision.
