Job summary

Butterworth Hospital's 5 West Observation Unit in Grand Rapids, part of Corewell Health, seeks a dedicated Observational unit aide who supports RN/Provider in delivering quality patient care overnight. You will work with a dynamic team on a fast-paced unit caring for a diverse patient population. You will take vitals and assist with daily activities, reporting changes promptly.

Night shift is 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 36 hours weekly, with every-other weekend.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC (90 days).

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
• Takes vitals, checks blood sugars, assists with bathing, ambulating, wound care, and catheterization; serves as safety attendant for patients.
• Ensures that required documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
