5 West Obsv Unit at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time patient care assistant to join a fast-paced team. You will support RN/Provider, take vitals, assist with daily activities, and report observations to ensure safe, efficient patient care overnight.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.
• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
• Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
