Job summary

Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids seeks a part-time Obsv Unit Medical 5W teammate for night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), 24 hours weekly.

You will work under RN or Provider supervision, performing basic patient care tasks, taking vitals, assisting with activities, and reporting observations. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification through AHA or ARC; hospital ward experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.
• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
• Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
• Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
