Quality Correctional Care (QCC) seeks compassionate nursing professionals for Full-Time Night shifts at Jefferson County Jail in Madison, IN. The role involves administering medications, conducting intakes, and providing comprehensive healthcare to incarcerated patients in a secure setting.

Responsibilities include chronic disease management, patient education, and handling medical emergencies with appropriate action.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN license
• Valid CPR certification
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to push, pull, reach and bend frequently
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients
• Administer medications
• Perform medical intakes and assess fitness for incarceration
• Respond to sick call requests and follow up with medical provider
• Check and/or change medical dressings as required
• Performing 14-day physicals
• Managing chronic care
• Providing patient education on health concerns
• Responding to medical emergencies and capable of life-saving measures
• Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology and medications
• Provide insight and direction to Medically Trained Personnel
• Comply with all laws and regulations
