Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a Nurse Helper to support nursing teams on the South Florida Baptist Hospital unit. You will assist with patient care under the direction of the RN and participate in hand-offs and response to patient needs.

The role requires completion of BLS within 30 days of hire, standard WELLÉ training, and a Nurse Helper training class before orientation. HS Diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Standard WELLE training is required.
• Must complete Nurse Helper training class prior to orientation on the nursing unit.
• HS graduate or GED equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in patient care under RN supervision.
• Handle patient care tasks while avoiding exposure to body fluids or devices containing fluids.
