Job summary

Charleston Area Medical Center seeks a Nursing Assistant for the Medical/Surgical unit at Teays Valley Hospital. Work hours are Nights with a 72-hour per pay schedule, located at US:WV:Hurricane. The role supports patient care under the Clinical Nurse and participates in unit activities.

Required education includes a High School Diploma or GED, with substitution allowed for relevant experience. BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care to patients as delegated by the Clinical Nurse and according to hospital policy and procedure.
• Assist with procedures as determined by hospital policy and procedure, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe patient and unit environment.
• Provide optimum assistance to the medical and nursing staff by providing/ assisting patient with activities of daily living and daily assignments.
• Assist in orientation of new Nursing Assistants.
• Provide courteous and prompt response to patient requests.
